Phoenix’s Select Top Retail Leases for Q1 2012

The following is an account of the Phoenix market’s select top 10 retail lease transactions for the first quarter 2012. 

El Mirage Plaza signed a master lease for 41,705 square feet for five years at 12420 W Thunderbird Road in El Mirage. There were no brokers involved in the transaction. Rex Revola is the landlord. 

Christ’s Church of the Valley leased 39,982 square feet at 18850 & 19030 N Pima Road in Scottsdale. Jeffrey Wentworth, Blake Hastings and Sean Spellman of Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial represented the tenant and the landlord, Hawthorn Retirement/Harvest Development. 

Potato Barn leased 36,200 square feet in The Pavilions At Talking Stick at 9175 E Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale. Matt Morrell of De Rito Partners, Inc. represented the landlord in-house. 
American Furniture Galleries leased 32,590 square feet in The Pavilions At Talking Stick at 9175 E Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale. Andy Kroot, Darren Pitts and Dave Cheatham of Velocity Retail Group LLC and Stan Sanchez, Paul Serafin, Jim Edwards, Larry Miller and Matt Morrell of De Rito Partners, Inc. represented the landlord in-house. 

Furniture King leased 20,853 square feet at 965 E Van Buren St. in Avondale. Jon Deonise of Deonise Real Estate Services, Inc. represented the tenant. Cliff Johnston, Chris Hollenbeck and Brad Douglass of Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial represented the landlord, TriGate Capital LLC. 

Stuff Thrift Store leased 20,600 square feet in Sherwood Mesa Plaza at 36-42 S Stapley Drive in Mesa. Phil Dawson of Dawson Commercial Properties, Inc. represented the landlord, 1107 E Main AZ LLC. 

Cotton Cactus leased 15,021 square feet in Deer Valley Center at 4151-4241 W Thunderbird Road in Phoenix. David Jarand and Traci Russell of Grubb & Ellis Phoenix represented the landlord, DDR Corporation. 

Strike Zone leased 15,015 square feet for three years in Santan Gateway South at 1315-1325 S Arizona Ave. in Chandler. Matthew McDougall of Lee & Associates represented the tenant. Tyler Chester and Cameron Warren of Phoenix Commercial Advisors represented the landlord, Eleven Investments LLC. 

AZ Health Advantage Urgent Care leased 11,935 square feet in Ethan Plaza at 706 N McQueen Road in Gilbert. CBRE represented the tenant. Brad Douglass, John Appelbe, Chris Hollenbeck and Cliff Johnston of Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial represented the landlord, Cire Partners. 

Brulin Enterprises LLC leased 10,500 square feet for three years at 2318 N Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. There was no tenant representation. Mark Wilcke of NAI Horizon represented the landlord, City of Scottsdale.
