Between 1998 and 2009, Jerald Friedman was Executive Vice President of Kimco Realty Corporation (the nation’s largest owner and operator of neighborhood and community shopping centers) and President of Kimco Developers, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kimco Realty. As President of Kimco Developers, he developed and sold more than 100 shopping centers (sales in excess of one billion dollars). These centers ranged in size from 80,000 square feet to over one million square feet. Many of the centers remain in Kimco’s portfolio today. Prior to joining Kimco, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Price REIT. This REIT grew from five centers to 28 centers in 1998 and was acquired by Kimco Realty. Before joining the Price REIT, he developed shopping centers in his own firm, Kornwasser and Friedman. He is currently principal of Friedman Developers, LLC., which specializes in acquisitions of shopping centers and consulting services to Landowners and Developers. He is a licensed real estate broker in California and Arizona.
