Digging deeper into local lease deals

I receive news of real estate deals almost every day and enjoy reading about all types of transactions. Usually, however, there are details missing that could add so much more to the story. Sometimes the information is confidential. Other times the writers of the news release don't think through all the details a reporter needs to write a solid story.


That was not the case today when I received the Media Report of leasing activity handled by De Rito Partners. Though many of the deals are small, the background information adds interest.

 

Here's a look of what brokers at De Rito transacted in the past 30 days:

  • Kokopelli Mexican Grill, a new healthy fast-food restaurant, leased 1,600 square feet at the northeast corner of Northsight Boulevard and Raintree Drive in Scottsdale.
  • Dunkin Donuts leased 2,600 square feet at the northeast corner of McClintock Drive and Warner Road in Tempe.
  • The Egg & I is leasing 5,120 square feet at the northeast corner of Gilbert Road and Southern Avenue in Mesa. This will be the restaurant's third location.
  • Aaron's Furniture Rental leased 6,600 square feet at the southwest corner of Baseline and Gilbert roads in Gilbert. This is its first Gilbert location.
  • Cricket Wireless leased 1,333 square feet at the northeast corner of Dysart Road and Van Buren St. in Avondale. They were seeking higher visibility.
  • Euro Body and Balance salon is leasing 1,216 square feet at the southwest corner of Loop 101 and Via De Ventura in Scottsdale. The former nail and tanning salon will become a massage provider.
  • Risque Hue Salon is leasing 2,735 square feet at the southeast corner at Cooper and Warner Roads in Gilbert. The full service salon is moving into Cooper Marketplace.
  • Pawn Central is leasing 4,050 square feet at the southwest corner of 32nd Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix.
  • Furniture Auction is leasing 10,000 square feet at 11002 N. 23rd Ave. in Phoenix.
  • Boost Mobile leased 1,320 square feet at the northwest corner of 59th Avenue and McDowell Road. Boost Mobile plans to expand throughout the Valley through the remainder of the year.
  • Southwest Gold & Silver leased 1,292 square feet at the southeast corner of Loop 101 and Cave Creek Road. The new company purchases gold.
  • HerbaLife has leased 1,320 square feet at the northwest corner of 59th Avenue and McDowell Road. The multi-level company is aggressively marketing to Latino shoppers.
