Brokers say Hispanic market likely to grow despite exodus fears

The Hispanic retail market in Phoenix is expected to continue to grow dramatically, despite concerns that Latinos will leave Arizona in the wake of the state’s get-tough immigration law.

Stan Sanchez, a commercial broker with De Rito Partners who specializes in leasing for the Hispanic market, said he received 50 calls in the past week from national retailers wondering what to make of the controversy.
He assured them there is nothing to worry about.
“Hispanics are not going away,” Sanchez said. “We are very powerful, very loyal. We are very family-oriented, and we procreate.”
